Asking for Gods help

One of the things that we as believers must do is realize that what we are experiencing in life is only temporary. Many times in our life we forget how blessed we really are and how fortunate we are. Other people are experiencing more greater problems than we are today. The word of God is the answer to our life because it holds the keys to every problem that we might experience.
Five Faith-Building Steps to a Powerful Prayer Life
God tells us in Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
Use these precepts from the book of James to strengthen your prayer life:
1. Endure: Don't lose heart. Keep praising God for His goodness. (James 1:1-4)

James encourages us to "consider it all joy" when we encounter trials that test our faith. That may sound difficult. But as we endure these trials, pressing on in faith and believing God has our best interests at heart, we will emerge from the experience "perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." Often, God allows us to go through difficult challenges because those very experiences shape us to receive the answer He has already prepared. Even in the midst of pain, if we can press on -- praying, standing on His Word, believing His promises -- we will see His goodness bring us to a better place.
The fourth step to getting where you want to be in life is simple: ask God to help you.
Step #1 - Determine your present position
Step #2 - Be specific about what you want
Step #3 - Look for God's promise
Step #4 -- Ask God to help you
Once you have found your promise in God's Word, pray and ask God for success, just as Eliezer did in today's verse.
Is it really okay to pray for success? Yes! If you aren't praying for success, what's the alternative? Are you going to pray for God to make you a failure? Eliezer clearly shows us that it is okay to ask God for success in accomplishing a goal as long as the motive is right.
When your success helps people and honors God, praying for success does not become a selfish act. It is the means to good testimony. In fact, here is what the Bible says, "So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God and there we will receive mercy and we will find grace to help us when we need it" (Hebrews 4:16 NLT).
Quotes and Bible Verses about Strength – The Bible offers many valuable quotes and Bible verses on strength and encourages us to be strong in our faith and our daily walk with Christ.  I challenge you today to get into the word of God and ask God to give you direction in your life. We really cannot do anything without God directing our steps. God is greater than any problem that you might experience today. All the answers and life are contained in the word of God. As believers we must seek out God's will, direction and the wisdom to know how to handle any problem that we might experience in life. I pray that you find what you're seeking and that God give you the ability to stand upon his promises.

Reflectin on the pastg

As we reflect on our past and the things we went through as a child and a teenager. Personally I had a rough childhood. I wish i could go back and redo everything I went through. As a child I didn't really have any friends and I really struggled in school. I was bullied and it was not easy. I am 49 now and I think it is still affecting me some today. I want to be free and i don't want to live like this.

I had good parents. They did drink a lot and I think caused many problems in my life and my family. I think sometimes my self esteem has been affected. I have a hard time relating to people sometimes. I am much better then I use to be. I do not want to walk in the mental torment no more. I need to examine my heart and make sure that I have totally forgiven those who have done me wrong. I want to walk in the freedom of the Lord Jesus Christ and I do not want to harbor not forgiving, because I know this will stop me from receiving from God.

I will continue this more later.

What happens when life seems so overwhelming?

I am not sure where to begin with this post. What happens when life seems so overwhelming? Sometimes life is not fair. We all face trials and circumstances that sometimes might seem overwhelming. There is hope though today.

To protect my heart from discouragement, I often ask God to remind me of times when He has worked in ways I couldn’t have imagined, in my life and the lives of others. Recently He reminded me of Joseph’s story (Genesis 37-50). It reads like a series of very unfortunate events!
Imagine being beaten and thrown into a pit, sold as a slave and then relocated to a foreign country where you are falsely accused of a crime you didn’t commit and banished to die in prison. And to make matters worse, what if your siblings had initiated this evil against you?

God gives us more than we can handle, because we are never meant to handle it all on our own. The better question is does God give us more than HE can handle? And the answer to that is absolutely not!
Our hope is meant to be found in him and what he is able to accomplish. If our hope is based on our circumstances and chance, we are to be most pitied. Because quite frankly, life does not always go the way we planned. And it is not always perfect. In fact, sometimes it is downright abysmal.

Although I enjoyed my visit, to say I’m beat would be an understatement. I’ve had a lot going on these last three weeks and I am ready. to. go. home! As free spirited as I can be, after too long I start craving my bed, my food, my surroundings, and my routine. If I go too long without those things I can get a little “off” and overwhelmed.
Lucky for me, as soon as this plane lands, I’m going to go right into what I call my “mini reset.” When life gets crazy and I just need to get my mental, physical, and spiritual “groove” back, I call “time out!” on everything and spend a few days getting myself recalibrated.
The following are steps you can do to “reset” at anytime you are feeling overwhelmed. These steps aren’t hard and you can do as often as you need to. Also, you can do any of these steps on their own, but I find that if you do each one at a time, in order, you’ll feel the greatest impact. Here’s the process I like to call my “mini-reset on life”:

Why are people hard to deal with all the time

I am wondering why people are hard to deal with all the time.Today was OK. I sometimes still feel like a outsider at work. There are so many different personalities here. People are hard to figure out sometimes. People are stuck in there own little world sometimes. It seems like that we sometimes have to go the extra mile with these type of people. They are so quick to find fault with others, but can not see there own shortcomings. It really does get old having to put up with the same stuff everyday from them.

The main think is that I do not need to act like them. They really children in adult bodies. Sometimes i just want to tell them off. However, I know this is something that God would not want me to do. I need to be the better person and reach out to them in love and not react in angry. We are programmed to automatically respond in anger. This is not OK and this is not acceptable. We need to be more forgiving and loving.

Anytime we are in a situation that doesn't seem fair, we need to ask ourselves what would Jesus do. There is no other way. No matter what we do, some people will never be satisfied. We cannot meet there standards. We need to try to meet the standards of God.

He's as close as the mention of his name

Today you may ask God to help you. God may say to you I am helping you. Has this ever come across your mind and heart? Sometimes and we think and feel that God is so far away. However, he's as close as the mention of his name. There has been a lot of great songs and messages that ministers and pastors have taught on this message. We sometimes focus more on the problem and we do the answer. All of our energy is put into negative thinking. Our thinking affects their behavior and also it affects our hearts. The Bible says that is a man think of them as heart so is he.
