Asking for Gods help

One of the things that we as believers must do is realize that what we are experiencing in life is only temporary. Many times in our life we forget how blessed we really are and how fortunate we are. Other people are experiencing more greater problems than we are today. The word of God is the answer to our life because it holds the keys to every problem that we might experience.
Five Faith-Building Steps to a Powerful Prayer Life
God tells us in Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
Use these precepts from the book of James to strengthen your prayer life:
1. Endure: Don't lose heart. Keep praising God for His goodness. (James 1:1-4)

James encourages us to "consider it all joy" when we encounter trials that test our faith. That may sound difficult. But as we endure these trials, pressing on in faith and believing God has our best interests at heart, we will emerge from the experience "perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." Often, God allows us to go through difficult challenges because those very experiences shape us to receive the answer He has already prepared. Even in the midst of pain, if we can press on -- praying, standing on His Word, believing His promises -- we will see His goodness bring us to a better place.
The fourth step to getting where you want to be in life is simple: ask God to help you.
Step #1 - Determine your present position
Step #2 - Be specific about what you want
Step #3 - Look for God's promise
Step #4 -- Ask God to help you
Once you have found your promise in God's Word, pray and ask God for success, just as Eliezer did in today's verse.
Is it really okay to pray for success? Yes! If you aren't praying for success, what's the alternative? Are you going to pray for God to make you a failure? Eliezer clearly shows us that it is okay to ask God for success in accomplishing a goal as long as the motive is right.
When your success helps people and honors God, praying for success does not become a selfish act. It is the means to good testimony. In fact, here is what the Bible says, "So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God and there we will receive mercy and we will find grace to help us when we need it" (Hebrews 4:16 NLT).

I challenge you today to get into the word of God and ask God to give you direction in your life. We really cannot do anything without God directing our steps. God is greater than any problem that you might experience today. All the answers and life are contained in the word of God. As believers we must seek out God's will, direction and the wisdom to know how to handle any problem that we might experience in life. I pray that you find what you're seeking and that God give you the ability to stand upon his promises.
